~ A Rose is not just a rose ~
Most variety of roses are available
year-round and in all colors. However, the price of roses do go up
around “flower giving” holidays such as Valentine’s and Mother’s
Day. If your wedding date is near one of these holidays, and you are
on a budget, you may want to consider an alternative. Nothing can
beat the impact of roses, it’s not surprising they are still the
most popular wedding flower.
When words cannot be found, a rose
will always say “I love you”.

~ Holding your bouquet ~
If you hold your bouquet too low, no
one will notice the pretty blooms.
If you hold it too high, you will
hide your beautiful dress.
Let your wrists fall above your hip
bones and use both hands to
hold the stem of your bouquet just
below your waist.

~ My personal tips to save on
flowers ~
-
Stick to seasonal flowers. They won't need to be
imported and will generally not cost as much.
-
Time costs money. Choose simple not-wired
arrangements.
-
If you have a flower that is particularly expensive, use
is sparingly, perhaps in your bouquet only.
-
Alternate your flower arrangements. You don't have to
grand arrangements on every table, limit the large ones
and mix with smaller ones.
-
If you have a large number of bridesmaids, you can save
some money by giving them a single flower to carry
instead of bouquets.
-
Church decorations. Only decorate the most prominent
features. Stand at the back of the church and look and
see where your eyes go first, then decorate these keys
areas only.
-
Pew/Chair Ends don't have to be on every row. They can
be the first, second or third rows. Also, opting for
tulle bows instead of flowers can save some money
-
Your bridal flowers and venue flowers don't need to
match. There are no rules! You can use classic flowers
for the bouquets and boutineers then introduce cheaper
filler flowers at the reception with the same color and
look.
-
Never skimp on the bridal bouquet as it will be on show
all day and be in most of the photos.
-
Try not to book you wedding at peak flower giving times
i.e. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving etc. as
the wholesale cost of flowers could at least triple in
price.

~ Bouquet Jewels ~
Bouquet
Jewels add that special touch or sparkle to any bouquet but can run
very expensive. If you find a pretty brooch (or pin), I can wire it
into your bouquet for you free of charge. I can purchase one for you
also if you wish. That way you get to keep the pin/brooch as a
wedding keepsake and also keep the cost of your bouquet down while
adding that special touch.
